The Opportunity:


Supporting the Director of Marketing, and focused on the core of Crank’s products, you will lead both internal and external product marketing content development and go-to-market management.

In this exciting role, you will partner with our Product, Sales, Client and Marketing teams to strategize, position and market our solutions to enable our partners, and drive adoption and success. As a seasoned product marketer, you possess a knack for being able to identify upcoming macro-trends, conduct research to identify market needs, work directly with customers, and collaborate with technical teams to bring game-changing products to new and existing clients. You see the big picture while managing to the nitty gritty details of creative and execution.

You'll be responsible for core go-to-market activities and ongoing product success throughout the product lifecycle, defining product positioning by understanding the market, buyers and key competitors. You'll synthesize information and serve as an internal and external evangelist and influencer to ensure all sales and marketing teams are equipped with the right tools, knowledge and information to properly position the Storyboard Platform to ensure we continue to win in the market.

What You Will Do:


  • Build and own product marketing strategy
    • Assist in external and internal market & competitive analysis.
    • Create/leverage customer insights, data analytics and research to develop a marketing strategy that includes the following:
      • Defined segmentation, including user and buyer personas
    • Product positioning including features and benefits
    • Coordination with digital marketing team to define the tactics for bringing the product/feature to market
  • For minor product initiatives, you will:
    • Identify gaps and launch constraints to be solved across all marketing and sales teams, partners and distributors
    • Help develop messaging briefs and other artifacts to enable marketing and sales teams, partners and distributors
    • Work with others to ensure feature launches are executed as outlined in Product Marketing plans
  • Create a strategy for internal, channel and partner awareness of and enablement for new products, features and your go-to-market plans
  • You’ll uncover new, strategic and creative opportunities working with partners and otherwise to reach customers with our product message.
  • Develop product-related content (webinars, walk-through videos, blogs, web content, customer stories, collateral, etc.) to increase Crank’s presence as a thought-leader within the industry and support the buying process.

 


What You Bring:


  • 6+ years in similar role, ideally with the majority of time spent in B2B software
  • Independent self-starter; ability to think clearly and manage multiple priorities in a high-growth, fast-paced environment while maintaining a professional demeanor
  • Proven ability to start with a complex problem, frame up strategic issues and identify key assumptions required to gather and analyze information
  • Highly developed interpersonal and written/spoken communication skills
  • Be both independent and a team player focused on excellence
  • Strong communication and business writing skills; outstanding presentation skills
  • An analytical mind and a balance between a data-driven and an emotional approach to marketing (with a lot of common sense!)
  • Experience working with marketing automation and CRM is required
